"Keeping Your Plane Safe: Maintenance Tips for Pilots and Plane Owners to Fly Safely"

Daniel Neal of the new San Martin Aviation maintenance facility, located next to Magnum Aviation at San Martin Airport (E16), will talk about things pilots and plane owners can do to keep their flying as safe as possible.

The focus will be on three key topics:

* Annual inspections

* Preventive maintenance that can make annual inspections go well

* Approved parts for certified aircraft

About our speaker

Daniel Neal is part-owner, senior mechanic, and IA at the new San Martin Aviation repair and maintenance facility at San Martin Airport. Daniel is an Adjunct Professor at San Jose State University Aviation Management program, where he teaches Aircraft Systems, Propulsion Systems, and Avionics courses. He is also the coach for the SJSU Precision Flight Team, which recently took a second place in the regional National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA), and which has been invited to the National competition that is being held in Wisconsin this May.

Daniel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics from San Jose State University, and a Masters in System Management from the University of Southern California.

Daniel is also one of the newest members of SCAPA!

Join us for this monthly meeting of the South County Airport Pilots Association. We gather at 5:30 pm, serve dinner at 6:00 pm ($15 members, $20 non-members), hold a brief business meeting at 6:45 pm, and begin this speaker presentation at 7:00 pm.
